Rob Lowe, 49, who has previously portrayed fictional political characters in "The West Wing" and "Brothers & Sisters," has now been tapped to star as the real-life and equally telegenic President John F. Kennedy for the upcoming National Geographic TV-movie "Killing Kennedy," based on the bestselling book of the same name by Bill O'Reilly.
Ginnifer Goodwin is slated to play Jacqueline Kennedy, and Michelle Trachtenberg has signed on to star as Maria, the wife of the slain president's assassin Lee Harvey Oswald.
"Killing Kennedy" tracks both Kennedy and Oswald in the four years leading up to that November day in 1963.
The TV-movie starts production in June, and is set to premiere later this year.
What do you think of Rob Lowe portraying John Kennedy ?
