Lisa Rinna, 49, best known for her roles as Billie Reed on "Days of our Lives", Taylor McBride on "Melrose Place" and as the host of "SoapNet's Soap Talk", is close to finalizing a deal to join the cast of Bravo's "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" as a replacement for Adrienne Maloof.
A source close to Rinna revealed that she "really, really wants to join the show."
The insider explained: "Producers had initially asked Lisa to become a part of the show when it first launched, but she turned it down because she decided to do her own reality show for TV Land."
"Lisa was honored to have effectively been given a second chance and negotiations are going so well that both sides believe the deal could be closed very soon," the insider added.
A production insider said executives believe Rinna would "stir up sh*t" with cast-members, particularly Brandi Glanville, who emerged as a standout of season three.
"She's exactly the new life that the show needs," the source was quoted as saying.
"Lisa might come across as very sweet, but she isn't a pushover. She is also a very successful business owner and hopes to highlight her clothing boutique, Belle Gray, on the show. She has a lot of celebrity clientele and Bravo is hoping they will also agree to appear on camera."
The insider told that Rinna isn't afraid of the Housewives' "marriage curse" either, as she and Hamlin, 61, have been married for 16 years.
What do you think of Lisa Rinna joining the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills"?
