American country music artist Garth Brooks, 51, is being sued by a longtime business partner who claims that he is deceptive, fraudulent and owes her nearly a half million dollars in unpaid wages.
According to a lawsuit filed by producer Lisa Sanderson and obtained by celebrity website TMZ, Brooks recruited her two decades ago to boost his acting career, allegedly only to scuttle deals and make outrageous demands.
Sanderson reveals that Brooks turned down chances to make an appearance in films like "Saving Private Ryan" and "Twister" because he was unwilling to share the spotlight with other celebrities.
She also alleges that he cheated her out of salary, bonus and profits, and is now seeking more than $425,000 in unpaid compensation and punitive damages.
In the documents, Sanderson claims that while Brooks portrays himself as a "humble and highly principled "everyman,"" he's a "paranoid, angry, deceitful and vindictive man who will turn against those closest to him on a dime."
It has to be mentioned that Sanderson additionally alleges that Brooks has committed tax fraud.
